SMS Consent and Opt-In
By providing your phone number and checking the SMS consent checkbox on our Phone Verification page, you agree to receive SMS messages from Help Us Follow Christ at the mobile number you provide.
What Messages You'll Receive
- Meeting reminders - Notifications about upcoming group meetings
- Schedule updates - Changes to meeting times or locations
- Group notifications - Important announcements from your group leaders
- RSVP confirmations - Confirmations when you respond to meeting invitations
- Invitation alerts - Notifications when you're invited to join a group
- Commitment reminders - Reminders about commitments you've made
Important: Account verification codes (OTP/2FA) are sent through a separate system and are NOT part of this marketing/reminder campaign.
Message Frequency: Message frequency varies. You may receive up to 10 messages per month based on your group activity.
Costs: Message and data rates may apply. Standard text messaging rates from your mobile carrier will apply.
How to Opt-Out: Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe, or remove your phone number in account settings.

Where Consent is Collected
Phone Verification Page

After creating an account, users navigate to the Phone Verification page to add their phone number. Before submitting, users must check an unchecked consent checkbox that states: "I agree to receive SMS messages from Help Us Follow Christ at the mobile number I provide. Messages include meeting reminders, schedule updates, group notifications, RSVP confirmations, invitation alerts, and commitment reminders. Message frequency varies (up to 10/month). Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help."
The checkbox is NOT pre-checked and is required to submit the form. Links to our Privacy Policy and SMS Terms are displayed below the checkbox.
